RM Easimaths
Intervention description
RM Easimaths is a software-based maths intervention for pupils in KS1 and KS2. Formerly known as RM Maths, it provides individualised activities based around core maths skills. Built-in diagnostics capture data on pupils performance, which is used to select appropriate exercises and materials. Progression through difficulty levels is dependent on each pupil’s success rate; the programme aims to ensure that pupils work at an 80% success rate and only progress to harder activities when they have shown mastery of the skills in the previous level. It is recommended that pupils use RM Easimaths for 10-15 minutes per day, from 3-5 days per week.
The intervention automatically collects data on pupil progress, which can then be accessed in the form of Teacher Reports. These enable regular monitoring of pupils’ achievement, and can be used to identify weaknesses at individual, group or whole-class level.
Technology
Home access is included with all subscriptions, so that pupils can access the activities on home computers as well as in school.
